Wimbledon Racquets & Fitness Club
will be opening to our members on
Tuesday 13th April at 9am.
We remain optimistic that the club can now stay open for business but, due to the government-imposed restrictions on what we are permitted to do, for the moment we will open on:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9am until 9pm
Off peak members will continue to be allowed to use the facilities at weekends to ensure they have access to the club five days a week.
While we are initially re-opening for five days/week and for slightly reduced hours it is our intention to re-open fully as soon as the “same household” rules are relaxed and we can get back to something like normal operation of the club.
The gym will open as per our opening times but, again, will need to be booked in advance with 10 people permitted at any one time.
Racquets Court Bookings
From Tuesday 13th April we are permitted to take only the following bookings:
· ·Same household (no other bubble is permitted). Once again, we will waive (same household only) guest fees, to facilitate members having an opposition player, until 16th May. Please be reminded this is for the benefit of members and will be withdrawn immediately if abused.
· Juniors (including those who were 17 on 1st August 2020).
· We are hopeful that disability sessions and 1:1 coaching with adults will be permitted as well but we await further advice from England Squash and Badminton England.
· Solo play.

England Squash provided an update yesterday in relation to how they envisage a return.
Those members who:
· stopped their direct debit payments
· annual memberships have lapsed
· have frozen accounts
· applied for the 50% credit scheme
Please email email@example.com so that we can activate your accounts prior to you returning.
To reactivate a direct debit, members will need to confirm with us prior to the 16th of each month to have it processed in time.
E.g. Those members who are intending to return to the club from 17th May 2021, please ensure your direct debit is confirmed by Friday 16th April to have it processed on time. If you fail to meet the date, you will have to pay via card or BACS to enable you to have booking access to the club until your first payment is taken on 1st of May.
To help members, the reception team will be available next week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 10am and 2pm. We have now implemented a queueing process on the telephone system so that your call will be answered in order. Bookings can be taken two weeks prior as before.
The reception team can take card payments, court and course bookings and help with membership enquiries.
