Wimbledon Racquets & Fitness Club will be opening to our members on Tuesday 13th April at 9am.   We remain optimistic that the club can now stay open for business but, due to the government-imposed restrictions on what we are permitted to do, for the moment we will open on: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9am until 9pm   Off peak members will continue to be allowed to use the facilities at weekends to ensure they have access to the club five days a week.   While we are initially re-opening for five days/week and for slightly reduced hours it is our intention to re-open fully as soon as the “same household” rules are relaxed and we can get back to something like normal operation of the club.   Gym The gym will open as per our opening times but, again, will need to be booked…

John will be well known to many of you. Besides being an active squash player he has also been very generous in volunteering his time and helping to run the club.  He has been a member of the board since joining it early last year and before that he chaired the Squash Committee for many years.   Always friendly and approachable he happily turned his hand to everything that was asked of him.  In the prime of life and with a young son he will be grievously missed by many. We on the board will mourn an able and much respected colleague. In due course we will consider possible memorial arrangements etc, but felt that we should let…
