International Standard Badminton Coaching for all levels

The majority of social badminton played at the club is at the “graded” club night sessions every week night (Monday to Friday).

The club night sessions take place all year. The sessions are for club members only and members need to be “graded” first.

New and prospective members to the club are welcome to attend the Sunday Beginners and Improvers sessions held every week at the club from 5pm – 7pm where coaching is also on hand.

AS A NEW MEMBER, HOW DO I FIND PLAYING PARTNERS OF THE SAME ABILITY AS ME?

Thanks for asking this one, we get this a lot (!) the club staff, badminton and squash coaches are very skilled at finding the right level for you at the club, initially we suggest coming to the Beginners and Improver’s sessions on Sunday evening (Badminton 5-7pm & Squash from 4.30pm). If you can’t make Sundays then there are other sessions you can come to as a non member – just ask any member of staff.

CAN I TRY OUT THE CLUB FIRST BEFORE I DECIDE TO JOIN?

Yes, you can attend any one of the weekly badminton or squash sessions as a non member to get a feel for the place, meet the coaches and find out about how the club can suit your needs.

Unfortunately, mainly due to safety issues, we do not allow non members access to the gym. All new members must complete a gym induction and complete a pre-exercise questionnaire. Thanks for your understanding.

HOW SESSIONS & GRADING WORK

1. Club members who have just joined the Club but have not been graded are not permitted to enter any weekday evening session until they have been authorised by the Club Head Professional (or Badminton Committee).

2. Non-Members may not visit any weekday evening session unless authorised to do so 24 hours in advance by the Club Head Professional (or Badminton Committee).

After 3 to the club visits we encourage players to join the club and take advantage of the benefits that come with membership.

Membership is not only more economical, it also allows you to book courts in advance and avoid disappointment, as well as to join the team.

Full details and rules can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

PAY & PLAY

Pay and play is an option for non members on a daily basis, subject to availability.

We do encourage non-members to join the club, which will also give you the option to book courts in advance.

Please contact club reception on 020 8947 5806 to check court availability.
